Good News for Coffee: Tariffs Lifted & What It Means for Us ☕🌱

Hello friends,
I'm happy to share good news that feels like a win for coffee lovers across the US-and especially for us at Godo's.
The U.S. has announced changes that lift tariffs on several imported products—including coffee. For big companies, this might just be another line in a trade update, but for a small operation like ours, it actually makes a difference.
What This Means for Us
For the past year, and especially since September, importing coffee into the U.S. has become more expensive and complicated. Every shipment from El Salvador came with added fees, extra paperwork, and a lot of uncertainty about what total costs would look like once the beans reached U.S. customs.
With these tariff changes:
- Our import costs may go down
- Shipping becomes more predictable
- We can plan better—and roast with less stress behind the scenes.
Most importantly, it gives us a little bit of breathing room on the work we do from our farm and bring it directly to you.
What This Means for Our Customers Across the States
This is the part I’m most excited about.
Lower import costs mean:
- More stable pricing for your favorite coffee
- Fewer unexpected shipping or customs delays
As always, thank you for supporting us and for being part of this journey. For believing in what we’re trying to build. Big or small, these changes help us keep growing, keep roasting, and keep sharing a piece of El Salvador and our family's tradition with every cup.
