Don Godo - Dark Roast
Share
Our Don Godo in semi-dark roast whole bean coffee has a strong aroma with notes of smoked cacao and caramel. When ground, citrus notes intensify, while a subtle caramel aroma remains. After extraction, the coffee reveals a soft honey aroma and a slightly bitter taste, preserving its caramel notes. With low acidity and a medium body, this coffee is perfect for enjoying and sharing.
The Importance of Grind Size
The grind size used when preparing coffee is just as important as harvesting at optimum point or roasting with precision. Every step plays a role in achieving an exceptional final result.
Brewing Methods & Flavor Profiles
✔ Drip Coffee (Traditional Coffee Maker) – Use 7g of freshly ground medium-grind coffee per cup of water. In both whole bean and ground form, this coffee highlights its sweet notes, which remain present after extraction, releasing a honey-like aroma. It has no acidity on the palate, a medium body, and slight bitterness.
✔ French Press – Use 10g of freshly ground coarse-grind coffee per cup of water. This method releases a sweet aroma reminiscent of honey, with a very mild bitterness, slight astringency, and acidity. The increased bitterness creates a balanced profile that enhances the coffee’s natural sweetness. Recommended for a smooth palate with a preference for bitterness.
✔ Espresso – Use 7g of finely ground coffee for intensified cacao and honey aromas. This results in a full-bodied espresso with little crema, where bitterness prevails over acidity and sweetness. Using 10g of finely ground coffee maintains the espresso’s body with moderate crema, stabilizing acidity and bitterness while preserving and enhancing its sweet aroma.
